What?

HardCore is a short but intensive half hour workout designed to target your six-pack (no, not the one in the fridge!) and the deep abdominals. Your abdominals will be faced with something different every week, from pairs work and competitive team work to working on your own through a series of tough exercises. All sorts of equipment is incorporated into the session, from kettlebells to medicine balls, thus ensuring that your abdominals never get complacent and that you’ll feel the pain every week!

HardCore will help:

  • Increase core strength and abdominal tone
  • Strengthen the upper body in particular
  • Improve posture
  • Hurt!
  • Be fun!

When?

Wednesdays at 7.30pm
Thursdays at 9pm

Courses start in January, April and September and run during term time only for 10 weeks. Classes run for half an hour straight after KettlebellFit. Most participants combine HardCore with KettlebellFit.

Everyone fills in a confidential medical screening form beforehand. HardCore takes place in a great location just south of Loughborough. Classes are limited to an absolute maximum of 15 so that I can make sure that everyone gets sufficient help and feedback.

How much?

The cost is £29 for the 10 weeks.

Testimonials

“As an ex-Rugby player, fitness classes aren't usually the place I would look to exercise but this is fun and hard work with an element of competition which I enjoy and find tough. The results are superb both on the aerobic front and in terms of core strength - great for my skiing. I’m currently training for a charity cycle ride and the class has really helped. Jo makes it fun and pushes when needed to get that little bit extra out of you when you think you can hide – I’ll be back next term!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When does the next HardCore course start?
A. Just send me an email to find out: Joanna@kettlebellfituk.com
Q. Your current course is already running. May I join part-way through?
A. It depends on whether or not my course is full. The best thing is to contact me directly if you would like to try and join a course part-way through: Joanna@kettlebellfituk.com
Q. I suffer from back pain. Is it alright to do HardCore
A. This course will strengthen your abdominals which will, in turn, help to protect your back. However, it is really important to conduct the exercises with excellent technique and to always work at the correct level, especially given that the course contains competitive elements designed to push you. I would, therefore, suggest that you seek advice from your GP before enrolling.
Q. I have never enjoyed exercise classes because I find it hard to follow a routine. Will HardCore be difficult to follow?
A. No, not at all. HardCore is to aerobics, what Vodka is to alcopops!
