"Will and can we ever beat this basketball team?"
No... No, I'm afraid not

While the Rockets remind r/nba that they’re still the Rockets.

Curry scoreless first half
AND THE ROCKETS STILL LOSE
[–]Pistons xixi90 5704 points 7 hours ago
No Durant. Curry doesn't score for 2 quarters. Rockets still lose.
[–]Rockets DoctorZzzzz 268 points 7 hours ago
Game tied at the half with Curry at 0. Not a good look at all.
[–]Rockets americagigabit 1165 points 7 hours ago
If you didn’t enjoy this game then you don’t enjoy Houston basketball
[–]Rockets whospepesilvia 783 points 7 hours ago
I didn’t enjoy this game, and now I don’t like basketball.
[–]Rockets SultanOilMoney 71 points 7 hours ago
Someone said that the game was rigged to go to 7 but the Rockets were too shit, LOL
Even as a Rockets fan I found this funny
[–]NBA PinXan 1704 points 8 hours ago
The most defining feature of this Warriors dynasty is them beating your team every fucking year
[–]Celtics OpinionatedCanadian 2391 points 8 hours ago
2018: We’ll never miss 27 threes in a row.
2019: Curry will never score 30+ in the second half after not scoring once in the first.
[–]Bulls foursteez 358 points 7 hours ago
trade Harden & CP3, move to Seattle
[–][GSW] Wilt Chamberlain testbug0 268 points 7 hours ago
No one will take CP3's contract

This is what happens when Paul Pierce favors a team - they lose.
[–]IsThisMe8 237 points 7 hours ago
Thank you Charles Barkley for saying that Warriors would not win. Knew that was a good sign.
[–]Nets AtWorkAndOnReddit 1362 points 7 hours ago
Rockets were up 7 with a 3-on-1 break and pulled the ball out. Proceeded to throw up a garbage shot and Warriors ended up cutting the lead to 2. Harden's offensive foul against Draymond with 2 minutes left in a one possession game was unforgivable. That was a bad loss.
[–]jimbo_rice22 2583 points 7 hours ago
Mike D'antoni: most Houston kids are asleep now so I can say this, our guys were NOT fucking giants out there, in fact they were fucking dwarves
[–]Warriors Danny1556 669 points 8 hours ago
If they had CP3 they would have won.
[–]Warriors EndlessBreadsticks 198 points 8 hours ago
"We want the warriors" - Clint Capela
[–]Spurs behappyPAO 398 points 7 hours ago
THEY PAID CAPELA 90 MILLION TO GET WRECKED BY KEVON LOONEY
[–]Warriors bayarea_fanboy 73 points 5 hours ago
Not giving Looney that qualifying offer looks pretty dumb right now
[–]Lakers EvanH98 1578 points 8 hours ago
The Rockets played like they were up 3-1 instead of down 3-2 in the series. What a damn joke
[–]Lakers internethungry 242 points 8 hours ago
Exactly didn't play like their season was on the line
[–]Rockets k3e7 155 points 8 hours ago
We didn't deserve to win at all. No sense of urgency, no leadership, no heart.
Confusing coaching decisions all series as well. Where the fuck was the team that got us here? Where was Danuel House and Kenneth Faried? WHY THE FUCK IS IMAN SHUMPERT GETTING MORE TIME THAN HE'S GOTTEN ALL SEASON???
We had every opportunity possible. No Boogie, KD getting injured, and Curry playing like shit for most of the series.
This team just does not have the champion spirit, whatever it is.
[–]Nuggets abris33 2192 points 7 hours ago
KD could sit the whole WCF, and they could chop off Curry's hand and Klay would still fuck us or the Blazers
[–][DAL] Wang Zhizhi suzukigun4life 430 points 7 hours ago
Especially if it's Game 6.
[–]Lakers MMDroxy 4749 points 7 hours ago
Klay Thompson: I am inevitable.
[–]Warriors Grochen 971 points 7 hours ago
Dread it. Run from it. Game 6 Klay arrives all the same.
[–]Celtics dankand 151 points 8 hours ago
Klay was insane this game. Offense first half, and defense second half.
[–]Warriors FruitByTheCubit 56 points 8 hours ago
That jump near the end was so fucking clutch
[–]Warriors fuckyouidontneedone 347 points 8 hours ago
I'm GAME 6 KLAY FUCKING THOMPSON. you know who i am
[–]Lakers Sinnedbackwards 1388 points 7 hours ago
Steph: and I..am sky fucker.
[–]Pacers TheManWithSomeGoals 875 points 8 hours ago
Everyone post your apologies here for forgetting how good Steph is.

In the past few days, /r/nba had completely forgotten the Splash Brothers are still an actual thing

SPLASH MODE ACTIVATED
[–]Warriors SF1034 391 points 7 hours ago
Curry's first scoreless postseason half followed up by his highest scoring post-season half.
[–][TOR] Tracy McGrady CozyHov 1895 points 7 hours ago
Curry was scoring for charity in the first half
[–]WarriorsThe_Great_Saiyaman21 767 points 7 hours ago
I mean he only went 0-5, it's really not as bad as people would like you to believe. He just didn't get to play many minutes because of foul trouble.
[–][TOR] Tracy McGrady CozyHov 527 points 7 hours ago
Yes of course but still 0 points at half is something out of the ordinary for a player of his caliber. He missed layups that he makes 90 percent of the time
[–]Lakers Apisit100 4148 points 7 hours ago
2016 Curry showed up in the 2nd half, poor rockets.
[–]random3887 1554 points 7 hours ago
Steph hit his last 75 free throws in the 4th quarter in the playoffs...wtf
[–]Warriors ajnelsonalpha 619 points 7 hours ago
yeah back to 2015? crazy stat
[–]Bucks MoistTemporary 569 points 7 hours ago*
Curry's clutch stats in TS% and points in post season (last 5 min and 5 points or less point differential) is MUCH better than Durant's or LeBron's. Statistically this guy is the definition of clutch.
[–][LAL] Kyle Kuzma ZombieJesusOG 497 points 7 hours ago
When Steph Curry had zero points near the half Jeff Van Gundy: "Why isn't Steph criticized more for a performance like this."
Mark Jackson with his only insightful comment ever: "maybe because Steph has 3 championships and Harden is looking for one."
[–]Lakers Rum_Smuggling_Shaman 1300 points 8 hours ago*
Everyone claimed he was washed and that he never deserved what he's accomplished. Proceeds to drop 33 points with a dislocated finger like some Kobe shit.
[–]NBA HansBaccaR23po 1666 points 8 hours ago
Rockets 2018: "if we had CP3 last year we would've beat the warriors"
Rockets 2019: "we have a healthy CP3 AND Durant is hurt in a crucial game 6?!? We got this shit, easy"
Steph/Klay: "Hold my beer"
[–]Nuggets sinkephelopathy 1054 points 8 hours ago*
After all the talking from Rockets fans about how CP3 was way more important than Iggy they go out like this. No Durant. Steph 0 points first half. On their home court.
[–]76ers Lozerpunmpkin 636 points 8 hours ago
Finally we don’t have to hear about the “but CP3” nonsense
[–][WAS] John Wall Im_a_Knob 211 points 8 hours ago*
F to Houston. It’s gonna be a long off-season.
[–]Nets zase1 2131 points 8 hours ago
I missed these Warriors
[–][DAL] Wang Zhizhi suzukigun4life 299 points 8 hours ago
The KD and Cousins-less Warriors.
The Splash Brothers-led Warriors
[–]Kings Ask_Me_If_I_Suck 1077 points 8 hours ago
Honestly watching Klay and Steph dominate again was nice
[–]Pelicans hak091 759 points 8 hours ago
Klay took care of the 1st half. Curry took care of the 2nd half.
Splash bros for life!
[–]Knicks BCastle18 240 points 8 hours ago
Felt like OKC game 6 2016 where Klay balled almost all game and Curry ended it with some clutch shots at the end
[–][GSW] Shaun Livingston sweatshirt35 177 points 8 hours ago
Get rid of Durant and build around the new Big Three: Klay, Curry, and Looney
[–][SEA] Kevin Durant YungFurl 98 points 8 hours ago
If KD doesn't resign I hope you guys give Looney the money needed to keep him. He has earned it in a big way.
[–][DET] Ben Wallace Gary-LazerEyes 831 points 8 hours ago
Not even gonna lie, I was pretty intrigued by KD joining the Warriors and forming the most talented NBA team ever. Just wanted to see it. But I also kinda forgot how fucking enthralling their style was before they just relied on KD. Really excited for the rest of the playoffs now.
[–]8380atgmaildotcom 355 points 8 hours ago
Kerr went 11 deep. The ball movement was cool to watch. Late in the game with the Curry-Draymond pick and roll and then play hot potato
[–]mar21182 154 points 8 hours ago
As long as Steph Curry is on the Warriors, they will always present the same problem to opponents. If you don't hard double Curry on the pick and roll, he'll absolutely kill you. If you decide to double him and get the ball out of his hands, you'll leave multiple guys wide open.
NBA players can make open shots. Curry's presence on the court will always give other players open shots. As long as he's on the court, the Warriors will be incredibly difficult to defend.
[–]Warriors Ionkkll 47 points 6 hours ago
The only man who has figured out how to shut down Steph is Steve Kerr by refusing to run PnR with him until things are desperate.
[–]Spurs OUisBack 175 points 8 hours ago
I love the sport of Basketball. Every year, a bunch of teams gets together to play and in the end, Golden State wins.

[–]Heat Number333 986 points 8 hours ago
Harden's turnover at 1:25 just throwing the ball to Klay was awful. It was just a 5-point game. Even as the Warriors missed it cost them a scoring opportunity. What are you gonna do when Klay hits that 3 to put them up 6 tho.
Oh well, only 2 Game 7's on Sunday then.
[–]Lakers riddleme 284 points 8 hours ago
Steph being the good guy allowing his parents to watch his brother play.
[–]Bucks Alistair_C_Cookie 222 points 8 hours ago
Harden: "My only regret is not being in enough foul trouble to foul out with two minutes left to beat traffic to the strip club."
[–][HOU] Tracy McGrady AemonSteelsong 41 points 7 hours ago
Oh well, that's that. Best of luck to the Warriors, they deserved this win with their energy and grit. In Houston, they say never underestimate the heart of a champion and you guys showed us what it means to be champions, again. Hope KD comes back at full strength.
